Feel-Good Corner, My Take

Mental Health Awareness Project Update

Hi guys, I hope it’s a good Monday for you all! I don’t know about you but it’s a sunny day and I’ve been feeling practically euphoric. Not in a Bipolar way thankfully, just because this day is really great. The Social Media Manager and Social Worker at John Abbott College is really supporting me in my ‘Mental Health Awareness Month’ initiative.

I love working with people who are passionate about helping others and working towards such goals. I’m lucky and grateful to be with such kind and caring people! Supporting the cause of mental health, breaking the stigmas of mental illness and promoting awareness is truly a collaborative effort. I thank all of my followers and viewers for your support. Every like is towards a significant cause!

Another reason for my jubilance is that I was called back for an interview at the pet store that I would love to work at. As you probably know, I adore animals and working in such a ‘milieu’ would be wonderful. I’m anxious of course but mostly excited, thankfully and eager! (Please wish me luck!)

Between my initiative, the job interview, studying for the Advanced Quantitative Methods final and stressing over my rapidly approaching driving exam… it’s quite busy. Busy is good for me though, so no complaints!

I’m writing to you again to share the latest awareness posts on my Instagram. Here’s the link if you’d like to visit the page directly: I Will Not BE My Mental Illness

A quick word for newcomers: May is Mental Health Awareness Month and I’m trying to reach 500 likes in support of the cause. I’m also requesting comments on what people wish others would understand about mental illness or being supportive of someone with mental illness. Advice, tips, experiences, motivation and info are also absolutely encouraged!
