Today we observed a minute of silence as tribute to those who lost their lives to COVID-19, and in solidarity of those who lost loved ones. This virus has torn a hole in families as well as in the fabric of humanity. We are fighting a common enemy that does not discriminate, and we need to unite. We must be strong for each other in these difficult times, and we each have the responsibility of protecting not only ourselves and our loved ones, but our community. The community: Every last person breathing the same air of our planet. Every safe choice goes towards keeping us all together and preventing further loss. Today we collectively mourn, but tomorrow onward we shape our path out of this; for the victims, for their loved ones, and for us all.
